Background
About Laura Scott
Laura founded Scence Physiotherapy in 2023 on one simple belief: birth should never define, or limit, a woman's participation in life. Whether that means running, lifting, playing with your kids, returning to sport or simply feeling confident in your body again, Laura believes every woman deserves care that helps her keep doing what she loves, during pregnancy, after birth and for the rest of her life.
That belief shapes everything at Scence. Laura focuses on both prevention and treatment, helping women understand and protect their pelvic floor early, so that long-term injury doesn't become something they quietly accept as "normal" after having a baby.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Master of Physiotherapy Practice from La Trobe University, and a Graduate Certificate in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne. She combines this clinical expertise with a warm, down-to-earth approach, so that women feel heard, supported and never rushed.
Laura is a strong believer in village-style care. Through Scence, she works collaboratively with GPs, obstetricians, midwives and other specialists, so that every woman is surrounded by a team that has her back.
Because returning to the life you love after birth shouldn't be a luxury. It makes Scence.
