Our story
A first heartbeat. A first decision to try. A first appointment, made with hope and a little fear. A first time someone becomes a mother, or a father, or simply themselves again after everything a body goes through to create life.
We named this place Origia, from original, because that's what it holds space for. Not just the origin of a pregnancy, but the origin of a woman becoming a mum. The origin of a man becoming a dad. The origin of a new chapter, whatever shape that takes.
Origia was built differently, deliberately. Fertility and obstetric care don't happen in isolation, so we didn't build a clinic that treats them that way.
Under one roof, we've brought together obstetrics, gynaecology and fertility medicine with the nurses, midwives and doulas who walk beside you day to day, and the psychologists, acupuncturists, women's physiotherapists, naturopaths, massage therapists and medical-grade facial specialists who care for the rest of you while your body does the hardest, most extraordinary work it will ever do.
This is what we mean by whole-person care. Not a referral list. A village.
A village is only worth the name if it changes something for you. At Origia it means:
We also think care should be unhurried. Appointments here are built around a conversation. If something has been dismissed or rushed somewhere else, that's exactly the thing we want to hear about properly.
Our logo carries the same idea.
The dandelion's stem is the woman: her uterus, her tubes, the quiet architecture of creation. Its head is the sperm meeting the ovum. And its seeds, scattering into the wind, are the seeds of life itself: carried forward, taking root, becoming something new.
Origia is where that all begins.
In time, Origia will grow beyond fertility and women's health into Origia Wellness Spa and Origia Longevity, because caring for the origin of life is inseparable from caring for the whole arc of it.
Today, we start with women. In the future, we'll open our doors to men too. The foundation is the same either way: original care, for the original moments that matter most.
Origia. The origin of new life. The origin of you.
You'll find us at Suite 8, Level 7, 36 Wellington Street, Collingwood, near Smith Street.
Our consulting rooms are open Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. If you'd like to talk to someone before you book, call us on (03) 9416 1586 or email hello@origia.com.au.

Good to know
Both, and more. Our specialists cover preconception, fertility and IVF, pregnancy, birth and the full range of general and complex gynaecology.
Alongside that sit our allied practitioners: physiotherapy, psychology, naturopathy, Chinese medicine, doula support, birth education, skin health and nurse-led IV therapies. You can come to us for one of those things or all of them.
Not at all. Plenty of people come to Origia for a single appointment with a single practitioner and that's the end of it.
The village is there if you want it, not something you're signed up to. Nobody here will push you towards services you don't need.
Only with your consent, and only what's relevant. We'll ask you explicitly, and you can decline or change your mind at any point without it affecting your care.
Our privacy policy sets out exactly how your information is handled.
Today, Origia is a women's health clinic, though partners are welcome at appointments and male-factor fertility is very much part of the fertility conversation here. Some of our skin and IV services are available to men as well.
In the future we intend to open our doors to men more fully. That's part of where Origia is heading.
Come and see the place, or book with the practitioner you already have in mind.
